Eagle Iron Works Launches Hawk Fines Recovery Plant

Jun 2, 2026 - 22 days ago

Eagle Iron Works has expanded its end-to-end washing equipment line with the introduction of the Hawk Fines Recovery Plant, a compact yet powerful solution designed to capture fine particles down to 400 mesh from process water in aggregate waste streams.

Eagle Iron Works Launches Hawk Fines Recovery Plant

The Hawk delivers a drip-free, stackable solids product, making it an efficient way to recover material that would otherwise be lost to the settling pond. It can function as a standalone recovery unit or serve as the first step in a larger tailings management system, seamlessly integrating with additional liquid-solid separation equipment.

Beyond its versatility, the Hawk Fines Recovery Plant brings a range of operational advantages. By removing more solids before they reach the settling pond, producers can significantly reduce pond cleanout frequency, lowering both labor and equipment costs. The recovered fine solids can even be repurposed or sold for use in pond lining or as backfill material, transforming what was once a waste product into an added source of revenue.

The Hawk also helps operations achieve more sustainable water use. By preparing the waste stream for downstream processing in Thickeners or Filter Presses, it supports water recycling, a major benefit for operations in regions where water is limited and/or costly.

Built with durability and precision in mind, the Hawk features a Sump, Pump, Hydrocyclones, and Dewatering Screen in a modular design that’s easy to install and maintain. Material enters the Sump where it is pumped to the Hydrocyclones. Here, the ultra-fine particles are separated and discharged onto the Dewatering Screen for moisture removal. The result is a drip-free, conveyable product and clearer process water that can be reused or sent for further treatment. This process makes the Hawk Fines Recovery Plant a smart addition to any operation focused on efficiency, recovery and sustainability.
